Terms of Service
Deal Watcher · Last updated 19 May 2026
These terms set out how you may use Deal Watcher during the beta and what you can expect from us. They are plain-English expectations, not legal advice.
A. About the service
Deal Watcher helps you create eBay alerts (watchers) for items you care about — for example Pokémon cards, slabs or sealed products — and notifies you when matching listings appear under your target price and settings.
B. Beta access
During beta:
- Access may be limited or invite-only
- Features, limits and pricing may change without notice
- We may approve, pause or remove accounts if needed to protect the service
- Test data may occasionally be reset if required for development
C. What the service does and does not do
Deal Watcher:
- Searches and checks eBay based on your alert settings
- May send email and/or phone or browser notifications when matches are found
- Does not buy items for you
- Does not reserve listings or hold stock
- Does not complete purchases on your behalf
You must review listings on eBay yourself and complete any purchase directly on eBay (or wherever the listing is sold). Always check item condition, seller, shipping, fees and total price before buying.
D. No guarantee of alerts or deals
We try to run checks regularly and notify you quickly, but we cannot guarantee that you will see every listing, receive every notification, or get the best deal.
- eBay listings can sell, end, be removed or change price at any time
- Listing data may be incomplete or inaccurate
- Checks and notifications may be delayed, skipped or fail
- Shipping, availability and seller details may change after you are notified
E. Your responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Setting sensible alert queries, prices and filters
- Verifying listings on eBay before you buy
- Following eBay’s terms and applicable laws
- Not abusing the service (for example excessive automated use or attempts to bypass limits)
- Keeping your login details secure
F. Fair use and limits
Beta plans may include limits on how many alerts you can run, how often we check eBay, and how many searches you can use per day. Limits may change as we learn what the infrastructure can support fairly.
If we believe an account is abusing the service or harming other users, we may throttle, suspend or remove access.
G. Notifications
You can enable email alerts and, where supported, phone or browser push notifications. Push delivery depends on your device, browser and permission settings.
Email delivery via our email provider is not guaranteed. You can adjust notification settings in the app where available.
H. Third-party services
Listing data comes from eBay via the eBay API and search results. We are not responsible for eBay’s website, sellers, checkout, disputes or policies.
When you open a listing link, you leave Deal Watcher and are subject to eBay’s (and any seller’s) terms.
I. Intellectual property and affiliations
Deal Watcher is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by eBay.
Deal Watcher is not affiliated with Pokémon, Nintendo, Creatures, Game Freak, PSA, CGC, ACE or other brands mentioned in example searches unless we say otherwise in writing. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
J. Liability
The service is provided “as is” during beta. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for missed deals, incorrect or outdated listings, lost profits, failed notifications, or purchases you make on third-party sites including eBay.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
K. Changes
We may update the service, these terms or our privacy policy as the beta evolves. If we make important changes, we will try to bring them to your attention in a reasonable way (for example in the app or by email).
Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
